Greater Crestone Amenities
Most amenities are in the Town of Crestone (see maps below), with the exception of the Desert Sage Restaurant (currently closed, with plans to reopen soon; located near the entrance to the Baca off Camino del Grande), Grammy’s Kitchen (located just north of the town of Moffat), the Baca Grande Public Library west of town, and the Maha Lakshmi Gift Shop at the Haidakhandi Universal Ashram south of town (a god source of devotional suplies. Dining in the Town of Crestone
Dining opportunities in Crestone are constantly changing, but at the time of this writing include a coffee shop (Cloud Station), a brewery (T Road Brewing), and organic cuisine (Our Food is Art). Just outside of town is Desert Sage Restaurant (currently closed) and in Moffat is Gramm’s Kitchen; see above.
Shopping and Other Sights in Crestone
Crestone has an excellent Organic Food Grocery (Elephant Cloud Market), a very good conventional Grocery (Crestone Mercantile), a Hardware store (across from the Mercantile), Gas Station (at Elephant Cloud Market), Artisan’s Gallery, Art Supply store, Liquor Store (Crestone Spirits), a Dispensary (High Elevations), a couple of nice Gift Shops (Crestone Creative and Gift Horse), and a Thrift Store (Eureka) and Free Box (behind Crestone Creative). You will also find a couple of nice Town Parks, a History Museum, Post Office, and ATMs (in the Credit Union and in Cloud Market).
Crestone Historical Museum and Welcome Center
As of June 2018, the Historical Museum has a new home in the old Crestone Schoolhouse. Stop by to relax and find out more about the area!
